The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”) provides billions of dollars in federal grant funding to state, local, tribal and territorial governments, hospitals, and other organizations in response to the coronavirus pandemic.  Grants Managers must be prepared to effectively plan, administer and manage this supplemental funding.  The purpose of this webinar is to provide an overview of the CARES Act, guidance issued to date, and discuss the anticipated impact on the planning, implementation, reporting and closeout procedures applicable to the anticipated federal awards.

Learning Objectives:

  • Provide and discuss guidance issued by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget
  • Identify frequently asked questions and potential challenges in implementing the CARES Act
  • Discuss activities that may be taken to plan for receipt of funding and implementation of CARES Act-funded programs
  • Identify the reporting requirements under the Act
