Virtual GMBoK Training | September 2026
About the Training

 

Gain in-depth understanding of the full grant lifecycle, from solicitation and evaluation of applications to closeout and audit through the Grants Management Body of Knowledge (GMBoK) Training. Attendees will:

  • Learn about the laws, regulations and policies affecting the administration of federal grants
  • Review the latest updates to the Uniform Guidance published at 2 CFR 200
  • Recognize the importance of internal controls in managing federal awards
  • Reduce the risk of fraud, waste and abuse
  • Learn to better manage recipients and subrecipients
  • Understand audit requirements for all parties, including auditors, auditees and the awarding agencies

    Earn up to 13 CPE credits.
    • If you need CPE Credits or a certificate for this training, make sure you answer the polling questions. You won’t see the questions until we open each one up. You will only have 3 minutes to answer each question. The question stays open, even if the presenters move on. You do not need to get the question correct to earn CPE credits. If you complete all polling questions you will receive your CPE certificate via email directly after the training. If you do not complete all polling questions, your CPE certificate with partial credit will be available for download under Transcripts in Grants Management Academy on Friday.
Slides and resources will be added to the course the day before.

Participants have the opportunity to earn 13 CPE credits | Field of Study: Specialized Knowledge
To be awarded the CPE credits, participants must respond to the polling questions posed during the live program.

Prerequisites/Advanced Preparation:  

You must meet one of the following prerequisites to attend the GMBoK Training:

  • A bachelor’s degree + 1-2 years of full-time grants management experience;
  • 3-4 years of grants management experience without a degree; or
  • Completion of NGMA’s Intro to Grants Management course.

    Familiarity with 2 CFR 200 Uniform Guidance is required.
